Riding the train out to Disneyland Paris was a ridiculous experience. Mostly because our pants were soaked.
The night before we had missed washing our clothes in the laundromat. No big deal. Plan B: wash our laundry in the bathtub. Terrible idea. We both were so excited at the idea of fresh clean clothes we put everything in the tub to be washed. It wasn't until the next morning we realized almost everything was still just as wet as they were the night before. Things couldn't dry because there was so much moisture in our apartment. Grumpily we tried to blow dry our jeans but after doing that for an hour we gave up. Note to self, wash clothes in batches.
Despite feeling like we just off of Splash Mountain before even entering the park, my stomach was full of butterflies.
Walking down Main Street I noticed a couple tears falling down my husband's cheek (he will be mad if I don't note that I too teared up...). It was so exciting because everything felt like the Disneyland we know but yet, I knew nothing about this place. It was familiar and foreign. Really bizarre experience. Main Street will get you every time.

Top favorites of Euro Disney:
1. Phantom Manor. I love the Haunted Mansion. There was no way this could live up to it. Well it did.

2. La Taniere du Dragon underneath Sleeping Beauty's castle. Real life, breathing dragon. How could this not be cool?
3. Space Mountain. You start outside and then shoot up into a dark room (with minimal stars). 2 corkscrews & 1 loop later, I was all sorts of jumbled. Very Jules Verne-esque.
From Tanner's expression, you can tell we had no idea when the picture was going to be taken.
4. Disney Dreams Firework Show. This combines all the elements of some of my favorite Disney park shows. It had fireworks, movies projected onto the castle, a water show, and pure Disney magic.
5. Alice's Curious Labyrinth. This was a walk-through maze as it re-created the story of Alice and Wonderland. Favorite part was when the Queen of Hearts jumped up and scared this girl to death. I caught Tanner's reaction.

Least Favorite:
1. Indiana Jones. Yeah, even I can't believe I'm saying this. Very disappointing roller coaster. Should have kept it the same as Anaheim's.
Fun fact: They don't sell Mickey Ears. Must be an American thing to wear goofy hats.

Most of the day was talking about what was different and what was the same with Anaheim's park. Tanner described what we were feeling perfectly, "I'm Disneyland homesick."
Glad we went.
We're Disney fans. What else would you expect?
