Reading just to read.
Can't remember the last time I picked up a book and read with no ulterior motives. No paper to write. No textbook to take notes on. No discussion board to post about after each chapter.
Currently I'm halfway through The Giver quartet. Excellent reads.
Made a little list of books I'd like to read (and re-read), as I please, in no particular order.
Torn Thread. A Wrinkle in Time. Little Women. The Help.
Lord of the Flies. The Count of Monte Cristo. Screwtape Letters.
Unbroken. The Devil's Arithmetic. Jesus the Christ.
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The Book Thief. The Catcher in the Rye.
The Maze Runner. Night. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
The Infinite Atonement. The Stranger.
The Davinci Code. Anthem.

Already found myself at the library 3 times this past week.
So this is what "post-graduation" feels like...
p.s. Gonna continue adding to my list. Any recommendations?
The Hiding Place, it's one of my faves. p.s. I love reading your blog.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it an odd feeling? Too bad it has taken me almost 10 years after I graduated to get on the page again.
ReplyDeleteOooh, the Hiding Place IS a FANTASTIC one. We have many of your list: All CS Lewis, The Count, Little Women, The Maze Runner... if you are interested. We are happy to loan! For free!
