He is here.

Friday, April 3, 2015

The other night we had our home teachers over who shared the following picture.
It has stuck with me this week, especially during this Easter season.

"Agony in the Garden" - Frans Schwartz

Looking at this picture my soul feels unimaginable sorrow. In the garden Christ had to descend beneath all. Even with all that physical pain of both body and spirit, you can still feel of God's encircling love and compassion for all.

My mind keeps going back to the New Testament scripture,
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."

"Though none of us will ever have to experience the depth of what our Lord suffered, we each will have our own dark and bitter hours--times when our sorrow and grief may appear to be greater than we can bear...Even so, if we will lift our hearts to the Lord during those times, surely He will know and understand. He who suffered so selflessly for us in the garden and on the cross will not leave us comfortless now.
He will strengethen, encourage, and bless us."
-President Dieter F. Uchtdorf (Encircled in His Gentle Arms)

No matter who you are. No matter where you were. He is here.

p.s. If you haven't had a chance watch Because He Lives, do it now.
