What better place to go than our favorite (Tanner and his family are huge fans and a place I once called home)? Disneyland! We took a road-trip down to southern California were we spent Monday at the Disneyland Park. We got to the park bright and early and just soaked in the Disney magic. I'm gonna let pictures share this day.

The rest of our honeymoon was spent in the city of Avalon on Catalina Island. It's about an hour and half ferry ride off the coast of Newport Beach. The best part of the ferry ride was watching tons and tons of dolphins jumping through the wake right behind the boat. The worst part was both of us got a little seasick and were ready to get off. Some of us tried to sleep through it...
The island was beautiful with only the one town; everything was within walking distance. The next couple days we were able to relax and enjoy each others company. We spent an afternoon being beach bums but were too chicken to get in the icy water; so instead we walked around the whole town until we found a hotel with a pool. Our first morning we decided to wake up for the sunrise and then went back to bed. Since most of the island activities required a little bit more $$$ than we wanted to spend, we found cheaper things to do instead. For instance: playing pool at a local bar, renting a peddle-boat around the bay, eating cup of noodles and playing cards, bike riding and eating peanut butter & syrup waffles.

Our last day we were able to attend the Newport Beach temple. Super pretty and a nice way to end the honeymoon. We were so lucky to have jobs that allowed us the week vacation and I loved every minute of it. We laughed so much and just had a wonderful time together for our first week of marriage.
